Grand Opening August 4th 2012

Osoyoos bike rentals and sales

Hello Everyone,

Well the Grand Opening was an enormous success over the August long weekend. With temperatures reaching over 35 Degrees Celsius people definitely agreed the name Heatstroke Cycle is apt for this area. There was free hot dog and Gatorade give away from 11am till 3pm and we had many happy takers! The carnival-esque atmosphere was a large part of the successful day and the icy cold gelato give aways really helped cool things down.  Many thanks to all of those who came out and participated especially to those who slaved over a blazing hot bbq to help out the new shop. I owe you all a great deal of thanks.  The scavenger hunt unfortunately could not go ahead as planned due to the increasing heat throughout the day, but do not fear it has not been forgotten. The scavenger hunt will be utilized some time in September when the temperature drops to a reasonable level for riders of all ages to get out on their bicycles safely. Keep posted on the blog for when this event is taking place and feel free to drop by Heatstroke anytime for your South Okanagan cycling needs. Also keep an eye out for our Ironman Triathlon riders on the road this week as they ramp up to the big event August 26th. Happy cycling
